Three Namibian road cyclists racing each other, playfully, on the hard-pack salt roads just off the coast of Namibia. They are all riding ONGUZA Holy Fire 'road plus' bikes with South Industries wheels and Ultradynamico tyres in grey with tan sidewalls. They are in focus while the background is blurred because they are so fast. Photo by Ben Ingham

Made-to-measure steel 'road plus' frame with carbon fork & stem

Every frameset we build begins with a conversation. You can book a free consultation at any time, and placing a deposit will secure your build spot in our order book.

Every bike is made to your unique measurements to ensure fit, so we require an up-to-date bike fit to ensure the accuracy of our geometry.

Once your bike fit has been submitted and then we've agreed the specifications of your frameset, your deposit must be made to order tubing, parts, and begin constructing your frame.

The Holy Fire is designed to be equally at home in a fast bunch racing as it is on a bumpy country road. Tested and raced since 2022, this 'road plus' model has competed at the 2024 Africa Games, ridden by Namibia's Martin Freyer. As always, the geometry is custom made, tailored to your unique body, riding position, and comfort.

It is designed around 33mm tires - up front the Maximum tire clearance is 40mm and the rear can go to at least 35mm (but more is possible on the larger sizes).

We love the rather classical design look with a relatively flat top tube, thin seat tube and straight stays - except for the downtube. It’s called the GX Shape and is my favorite shaped tube out of the Columbus catalog. It is a 42mm tube which changes shape as you move along its length. Up against the headtube it is a truncated aerofoil shape - oval in the vertical axis, with a very flattened top end of the oval (imagine an egg with the long side pointing down - and the top end flattened). Towards the bottom bracket it becomes relatively oval along the horizontal axis.

The frames have a Stainless steel sleeve under the seatpost clamp to protect the paint from getting damaged. And bikes built for use with a front derailleur also have a stainless steel sleeve for the front derailleur clamp - practical but also adding a beautiful detail.

Fillet and capillary brazed with brass and silver
44mm head tube
